Our open competitions provide the opportunity to play the course providing challenging golf along the spectacular cliffs looking over Carlyon Bay at considerable reduced cost along with the chance to win excellent prizes

Better Ball Stableford
Sunday 13th April 2025
Members £22 | Visitors £50 per pair
Join us for our Better Ball, with 18 holes and 85% handicap. Prizes are awarded for men, mixed and lady pairs. Food will be available all day from the Clubhouse.
The Carlyon Cup
Sunday 25th May 2025
Members £11 | Visitors £25
The winner holds ‘The Carlyon Cup’ for one year plus a ‘Two Night Break for Two’ at any Brend Hotel. Food will be available all day from the Clubhouse.

Our ever-popular Seniors Open takes place with the Betterball Stableford format and includes a 2-course meal served in the clubhouse with superb prizes awarded. With entrants from all over the South West, this is a great day of golf and camaraderie for Seniors throughout.
Air Ambulance Charity Golf Day

During June, we organise a charity golf event to support the fundraising efforts of the Cornwall Air Ambulance. This event encompasses delightful food, refreshing midway breaks, memorable team photos captured at the first tee, and an exciting raffle with unmissable prizes.
Festival of Golf

The Carlyon Bay Golf Festival is a week of fun, mixed competitions for both members and non-members. Jon Wilson, our Golf Secretary, will be coordinating the Golf Festival Week in July and his expertise together with the outstanding service of Carlyon Bay will once more prove to be a winning combination! Maximum handicap each competition: Gentleman 28 and Ladies 36.
Charity Junior Open

SUMMER SERIES Competitions from 6th July - 24th August
Following the success of our inaugural Summer Series Open event we will be continuing to run the competition in 2025.
Our Series takes place over 6 Sundays & is open to members & non members. There will be weekly prizes along with a prize for an accumulative score over the 6 dates.

Challenge Weekend
6th - 9th November 2025
3 nights Dinner, Room & Breakfast £405 per person per stay
In November, we play host to the famous Carlyon Bay Golf Challenge weekend, where we welcome golfers of all abilities for a few days of great food, great fun and, of course, great golf! With various competitions and prizes running throughout the weekend.
