After sadly having to close the course once again, here is an update on our plans for the forthcoming weeks
We have a team of greenkeepers continuing to work out on the course, which has benefited greatly from this prolonged period of dry weather we’ve been waiting on since early December. As we have done in previous years, we will be undertaking the full verti-draining of each fairway and select areas around the course, which takes us around a month to complete, benefiting the general drainage and playability of these areas year-round. On top of this, we are continuing works on a number of tees, increasing teeing areas which again will benefit play out of season.
Supporting England Golf's Campaign
We are actively supporting England Golf’s campaign to review the lockdown closure of golf courses, as, alongside them, we believe the benefits of outdoor activity far outweighs the potential of any transmission of the virus, when adhering to safety measures put in place.
