Friday's golf day in aid of the Children's Hospice was well attended & blessed with good weather resulting in a great day for all those involved. 178 golfers took part over the day followed by a 2 course lunch before taking part in the putting competition & raffle. The evening finished off with the presentation or prizes followed by the auction run by guest auctioneer Shane Soloman.
Special thanks to all HSBC who once again kindly matched the amount raised on the day which was £10200 making a grand total of £20400 to the Charity. None of this would be possible without the generous contributions made of local businesses and individuals who donated prizes, sponsored holes, provided the 13th hole refreshment & entered teams, thank you all so very much for supporting the day.
Our thanks also to club President Keith Gay for being the starter, Club Captain James Wakeham who presented the Prizes & Ian Warne who organized the event so well as he has done so over many years raising a total for the charity of over £130,000.
