History

The Carlyon Bay Golf Club has a fascinating history, hosting many prestigious competitions and featuring many famous faces throughout the years. Over 100 years ago it was a popular place for a famous Royal visitor, Edward VIII (then Prince of Wales) to play, and the course still draws many famous faces today, competing in the various Pro Ams and competitions held here throughout the year.

Many of the club's trophies, which are still competed for year on year are steeped in history, and the original trophies are still proudly displayed here in our clubhouse.

Designed in 1912 the golf course has remained true to its traditions, whilst consistently striving to improve wherever possible.

History doesn’t stand still and neither does the Carlyon Bay Golf Club.
